Extra compact bearing gives added benefits
To compliment the large range of plastic bearing housings already available to the canning, bottling and packaging industries, Rexnord Marbett has introduced a new range of compact pillow blocks. The narrow base incorporates an internal thread which makes them suitable for areas where limited space is available. Selfaligning bearings with shaft sizes of 17mm, 20mm and 25mm and housings fully sealed are now available through Maud Kirk.

Housing with Mircoban® antibacterial protection
Mircoban® material is effective against the most common bacteria that may grow in food stuffs i.e.: E.Coli, Salmonella, Listeria, SAureus and Campylobacter.
A double lip oil seal is incorporated in one side of the housing and in the cover on the other side an ‘O’ ring is used to form a seal between the cover and housing ensuring that the assembly is totally sealed.
The bearings are available in chrome alloy steel, stainless steel and incorporate double lip superagriseals, prelubricated with lithium/ calcium grease and can be relubricated.

Four bolt hole square flange unit (25 – 50mm shaft sizes)

These bearing units were specifically designed for the canning and bottling industry where there are major problems with product spillage, high-pressure water wash-down and C.I.P. treatment.
The other benefits are that it does not have rust deposits emanating from cast iron housings, grease oozing from bearings causing contamination/ safety hazards and the bearings are lubricated for life or can be regreased.
